年頭のご挨拶が出来ないまま、本年も早３ヶ月が経ってしまいました。
この間、新型コロナウィルスが猛威を振るい、私たちの生活は一変しました。
まだ出口の見えない中、今回の展示にあたり声高らかにお声掛けさせて頂く事ははばかられるのですが、「今」私の出来る事を、絵に込めました。
この様な状況が続き改めて、今まで当たり前だった事が、数々の努力や奇跡の上で成り立っている事を思い知らされ、当たり前の日常に感謝の念を抱かざるを得ません。
見えない脅威に不安が募り、不満や攻撃的な言葉たちが負の連鎖をもたらしている様にも感じます。
今こそ言葉や思考ではなく、感じ合う心が我々に働き掛け、何かを動かすかもしれません。ーそれは科学的でも現実的でも合理的でもありませんが。
自分の無力さをひしひしと感じる今日この頃、だからこそ私は、ー例えばマスクを製造する事の方が直接的に役立つかもしれませんが、そうではなく私の出来る事で頑張りたいと思うのです。
今展開催にあたり、母校の大先輩方と一緒に展示出来るという事がとても心強かったです。
自分ではない誰かの存在が人を強くします。
私の作品だけでなく、普段の生活や仕事の上でも、自分の為ではなく、自分以外の人の為に何か出来れば、働き掛ける事が出来れば大変嬉しく思います。
感謝を込めて、皆様が健やかに安らかに過ごせます様お祈り申し上げます。

It has been already three months this year since I couldn't say New Year's greetings here.
The Coronavirus is raging and our life has changed drastically during this time.
Although I hesitate to announce the joint exhibition this time with no way out of the situation, I painted with all my strength I have NOW.
The situation realized me that simple daily life consists of efforts and miracles, and I cannot appreciate it enough.
We are filled with anxiety due to invisible threat, and complaints and aggressive words bring the vicious downward spiral, I think.
Now, not words and thoughts but our feeling hearts might work us and move something. It couldn't be scientific, realistic and rational.
I really feel how incompetent I am these days, so, for example, producing masks might be more useful now, but I'd like to do the best in my field.
Being able to exhibit with my great seniors of my alma mater for the exhibition, encouraged me.
The existence of someone except me makes people stronger.
I would be glad it, if I would work and do something not for myself but for others, not only on my paintings but also on my life and works.
